Are Parcel2India's delivery times guaranteed?

When you get a quote for delivery with Parcel2India we will give you an estimate for the transit and delivery time. Please note that our estimates are based on deliveries to major destinations, they don’t include time in customs and are provided as a guide only. Transit times can vary depending on the size and content of the parcel, the origin and destination locations within each country and public holidays. There may also be circumstances that are beyond Parcel2India's control that affect our transit times, such as adverse weather conditions. Are transit times slower from a Parcel2India Service Point?

Transit times are the same for all our services. However, if the Parcel2India courier has already made their daily collection from the store, your parcel will not depart until the next working day. While many of our locations are open seven days a week for dropping parcels off, our couriers only collect Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Our transit times apply from the day the courier collects from the DHL Service Point and the latest drop-off times for the same day collection are available from the store.

Can I arrange a Saturday collection or delivery?

Saturday collection and delivery options are available when booking a collection by phone.

What time will my parcel be delivered by?

All Parcel2India services offer express delivery by the end of the next possible working day.

Does Parcel2India guarantee parcel collection times?

We always endeavour to collect your parcel on the agreed date and time, but occasionally circumstances outside our control can affect collection times.

We always endeavour to collect your parcel on the agreed date and time, but occasionally circumstances outside our control can affect collection times. This could be due to adverse traffic or weather conditions, for example.

My parcel needs to be delivered before 12:00 (midday) tomorrow, is that possible?

We offer a pre 12:00pm delivery service to many destinations when you book a collection online with parcel2India.com online or with by phone. We also offer a pre 9:00am service (pre 10:30am to send a parcel to the USA) to many destinations for parcels weighing up to 30kg. If you would like to check service availability to your delivery address before you book, please contact our Customer Service team for more information.

How do I track my Parcel2India parcel?

There are many ways to track a Parcel2India Express parcel. Check out our tracking options on Parcel2India.com and choose your preferred method. If you have problems tracking your parcel or need advice on status, our Customer Service team is here to help.

I have two Parcel2India parcel tracking numbers. Which one do I use?

If for any reason there was a problem with the label you printed, the courier may have issued you with a new label (or waybill). If this is the case, you will need to track your parcel using the waybill number provided by the courier, and not the tracking number confirmed to you via email.

Can I estimate the weight or dimensions of my parcel?

Please be as accurate as possible when weighing and measuring your parcel. If this information is not accurate it could result in extra charges or your parcel being returned. We recommend you use kitchen/bathroom scales to weigh your parcel and a tape measure or ruler to measure the dimensions. See our weighing and measuring advice for more information. Please specify the weight in kilograms (kg) and dimensions in centimetres (cm). Please note that we automatically reweigh and measure parcels at our Service Centres before they are dispatched.

What are the parcel size and weight limits?

Our parcel size and weight limits depend on the service you choose. To send a parcel from a Parcel2India Service Point, your items must fit into one of our free Oarcel2India envelopes or boxes. Our largest box size is 60 x 60 x 60cm, with a maximum recommended weight of 25kg. Find out more in our size and price guide. If you choose to book a collection with Parcel2India online or by phone, the maximum weight per parcel is 70kg and the maximum dimensions per parcel are 120 x 80 x 80cm. Need to send a larger or heavier parcel?

We will be happy to quote for parcels up to 300kg with a maximum length of 300cm. Contact our Customer Service team for more information.

How do I calculate the dimensions of a parcel?

When you send a parcel with Parcel2India Online or by Phone, you must calculate the dimensions of your parcel at home. The dimensions of a parcel are always length (L), height (H) and width (W) . We will need accurate measurements to calculate the cost of sending your parcel. The length (L) of the parcel is always the longest side of the parcel you are sending, and the width and height are the other two measurements of the parcel.

How do I measure the volumetric weight of a parcel?

If your parcel is large in size and light in weight, the delivery price may be calculated by the parcel's volumetric weight rather than its actual weight. Find out how to calculate volumetric weight.

How do I calculate the dimensions of an irregularly shaped parcel?

If your parcel is not a box-like shape, it can be difficult to work out what dimensions you need to input or say when using a Parcel2India service to send a parcel. When calculating these dimensions, always measure the largest parts of the item. The length is the longest part of the parcel, and the width and height should be measured between the parcel’s widest points.

Can I send a parcel that weighs more than 70kg?

Yes, you can. If you have a parcel weighing more than 70kg or with dimensions over 120 x 80 x 80cm, please contact our Customer Service team for a quote.

Can I use my own packaging with Parcel2India?

We can accept parcels in your own packaging at Oarcel2India Service Points located all over the World. You can also use free envelopes and boxes at our Parcel2India Service Points. This means there is no need to weigh or measure your Parcel2Go parcel in store. If your parcel doesn't fit into one of our boxes, you may wish to consider one of our other parcel services:

What packaging should I use for my parcel?

Parcel2India is committed to delivering your parcels with speed and care. However, parcels should be packed to withstand the normal rigours of road and aircraft handling and transportation. Packing your parcels with proper materials and care help ensure your shipments arrive safely and intact. To help ensure your parcel arrives safely, you should:
  • Assess what you’re trying to send – consider the weight, cost, regulations and fragility of the contents
  • Choose your packaging based on its material, strength and size
  • Pack your goods correctly, leaving no empty space in the box, placing items in the centre of the box and wrapping items individually
  • Seal your parcel correctly using the right tape and ensuring all the seams are sealed
  • Display your labels clearly and include a spare label insde the package

How to measure volumetric weight?

If your parcel is large in size and light in weight, the delivery price may be calculated by the parcel's volumetric weight rather than its actual weight. This is standard practice in the shipping industry. To calculate the volumetric weight, use the formula below:

Parcel weight is rounded up to the nearest half kilo. The greater of the two weights will be used for the parcel delivery cost.

How do I insure my document or parcel?

You can arrange shipment protection on bookings made online with Parcel2India.com and by phone by getting in touch with our customer service team. Some restrictions and limitations may apply, depending on the destination and contents of the parcel or document. Shipment protection is also available from the Parcel2India Service Points located at DHL Express service centres and Associates.

Do I need to insure my Parcel2India parcel?

Parcel2India Shipment Insurance is an optional service that provides you with protection against the risk of physical loss or damage to your parcels from external causes during transportation by Parcel2India. We handle all parcels with great care throughout the delivery process. Although it is rare, unfortunately, accidents can sometimes happen and insurance will provide you with additional peace of mind and financial protection (limited to your actual financial loss). Parcel2India’s liability for direct loss or damage is provided as standard. This is limited to the lesser of either: The current market or declared value of the goods, or 22 Special Drawing Rights (approximately US$ 30.00) per kilogram for shipments transported by air or 8.33 Special Drawing Rights (approximately US$ 11.00) per kilogram for shipments transported by road. What is the charge for insurance?

Shipment Insurance for non-document shipments, The charge for Shipment Insurance is £12.00 for parcels valued up to £800. If the total value of the parcel is greater than £800, then the insurance for the item is 2.5% of the total item value. For example, if the value of your shipment is £2,000, the insurance charge will be £50.00.

Extended Liability for documents For parcels containing documents only, we offer Extended Liability.

If you are sending valuable documents such as passports, visa applications or regulatory certificates you can extend Parcel2India's standard liability with this service. For a fixed charge of £6.50, Extended Liability provides a fixed compensation amount of £400 to cover the costs of recovery in the unlikely event of loss or damage. How do I make a claim?
